Dr. Ayon Tarafdar, Ph.D

Current position: Scientist (Agricultural Structures and Process Engineering), ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute, UP, India.
Has been awarded several meritorious fellowships, including the TEQIP-II fellowship, NIFTEM research fellowship, UGC-JRF fellowship, CSIR-SRF fellowship, and SERB-DST International Travel grant. Honored with the best poster and oral presentation awards on several occasions for his work, both in India and abroad, and served as a fully funded research intern at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. He has more than 100 publications to his name. He is currently an editorial board member of the Journal of Food Quality (Wiley), CyTa Journal of Food (Taylor & Francis), and International Journal of Food Science (Wiley). His research interests include process modeling and simulation, machine learning, image processing, food process engineering, food waste valorization, microfluidics, hydrolysis, and other bioprocesses. Currently listed as World's Top 2% scientists (Elsevier and Stanford reports).

Dr. Ranjna Sirohi, Ph.D

Current position: Assistant Professor at SKNAU, Jobner, Rajasthan, India.
Post-doctorate at Korea University, Seoul, South Korea and obtained doctoral degree in Process and Food Engineering from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, India. Worked as a researcher at ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute (Karnal, HR, India), ICAR-Central Institute of Post-Harvest Engineering & Technology (Ludhiana, PB, India) and École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland. Has 150+ publications/communications and won several awards and honors including Best poster award in BSHAFEE-2021, IIT, Jodhpur, Best PhD Thesis Award from the International Society for Energy, Environment and Sustainability (2020), AU-CBT Excellence Award, the Biotech Research Society, India (2020), Research Excellent Award in the international conference on New Horizons in Biotechnology, Trivandrum, India (2019), Best Poster Award in 8thInternational Forum on Industrial Bioprocessing-2019 (IBA-IFIBiop 2019), Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia (2019) and Research Excellence Award in International Conference on Bio-Innovation for Environmental and Health Sustainable Developments (BEHSD-2018), Lucknow, India (2018). Major research interests are in bioprocess Technology, food & food waste valorisation, waste to wealth technologies, bioreactors, biopolymers and biofuels. Currently listed as World's Top 2% scientists (Elsevier and Stanford reports).

Dr. Narashasns Alok Sagar, Ph.D

Current position: Assistant Professor, Chandigarh University, India.
Worked as a Senior Fellow in Food Safety and Nutrition (SFFan) at ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Izatnagar (Bareilly, U.P) under a National Project (NetSCoFAN) of FSSAI. Obtained doctorate from the National Institute of Food Technology and Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM, an Institute of National Importance, Sonipat). Worked at Dr. Ram Mahonar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow in the Department of Microbiology. Published several research papers, review articles, book chapters, and popular articles in international peer-reviewed journals of reputed publishers, including Elsevier, Nature, Wiley, Springer, MDPI, and Hindawi. Attended and organized several national and international trainings, conferences, and workshops in food processing, cold chain development, bioprocess technology, data science, analytical research, etc. Awards and achievements comprise GATE (BT), NIFTEM Research Fellowship, UGC-NET & JRF, best oral presentation awards, etc. His research interests include serology, food microbiology, molecular biology, waste valorization, new product development, and Food fortification.
