Article submission guidelines
The magazine accepts popular articles in the field of food processing, food engineering and all other branches of food science. Popular articles should be written in a style that is interesting and accessible to the general public while describing the most salient features of the topic. Typically, popular articles should not exceed 800 words with no more and should not have more than 3 illustrations (tables and figures included) and 5 references.
Manuscripts submitted to the Food Forge Magazine should be typed in Times New Roman font with 1.5 line spacing and 12 point font size. The lines and pages of the manuscript should be duly numbered. The manuscript should indicate, under the title, the names of the authors and their affiliations.
Reference style: All references should be in APA format and should be cited in the text appropriately. For one to two authors, the citation in the text should contain the last name of the author(s) followed by the year of publication. For example: The generation of biopolymers from bacterial strain has been previously reported (Sagar, 2020; Sirohi and Tarafdar, 2021). For more than two authors, the citation in the text should contain the last name of the first author followed by et al. and the year of publication. For example, Acid hydrolysis followed by fermentation by Bacillus sp. NII2 produced 1.41 mg/L PHB (Sirohi et al., 2020).
Articles submitted to the magazine will be peer-reviewed by at least two experts of the respective field. Based on the recommendation of the experts, the editors will decide whether a manuscript is to be rejected, revised, or accepted. The manuscripts submitted will also be subjected to language and plagiarism (should be within 10% limit) check. Manuscripts once accepted, will be published online and the proofs will be sent to the corresponding author for checking before the final publication.
